Another story was told about a woman in white who stands in the grave yard in Allen on certain days or evenings of the week. There are also many stories told of the grave yard in Cloncurry that is now not used. At night red coals are to be seen; also men going around. On certain nights music is heard in it. It is said that a man went searching to see who was playing the music. He could not find out and after some time he went mad.
- There is a holy well called Father Moore's Well on the road from Boston to the Curragh at Rathbride within two miles of Kildare town. The well is round shaped. The people never drink the water for ordinary purposes but they sip it when they go on pilgrimages. People get water out(continues on next page)
