  1. Some years ago there were a lot of old rifles and skeletons dug up out of the ground at Carnalway Cross Roads
    There were also some rifles and spears found at Carnalway Liffey bridge.
    There is a fairy rath in Sallymount lawn near the Liffey and it is said that there was a Leprechan seen in it in year's gone by. There is another one in the "box-wood" and there used to be music heard in it a long time ago.
    There was a big lake in the "Grove Field" in Cannycourt and one morning when the people got up it had dried up and there was not a trace of it left except for the mud. It is said there
