- There was a large bakery about ten yards from the back of Paddy Anderson's house but there is no trace of it now. There is also an ice-pit there, in the same place. There is barbed-wire around it and steps leading down into it. It is a long under-ground passage. It was used long ago for storing ice, beside this pit there is a draw-well, about thirty feet deep. It was used for pumping water up to Roberts's house.
There was a flour mill in Newbury wood built by Mr. La Touche but he burned it himself after a time.
