  1. This is the name by which the long level stretch of road which runs at the front of our school lane is known.
    Owen Kieran’s of cromague was drowned in a drain ( shuck) near Nart Hollow. Some men were joined to get this shuck cleaned out. One morning Owen was ready before the others and said he would go on and get work his line.
    When the others got there he was nowhere to be seen and they could not find him. They cleared out the drain and found the poor man lying on his face and a hands at the bottom quite dead. He was believed to have been pulled in there by fairies. Ever since his ghost is said to haunt the hollow. This
