    A Healing Salve.
    This salve is much used. The recipe for it is handed down from mother to daughter.
    It contains wonderful drawing power. If placed on a spot in which there is a thorn it draws the intruder out of the flesh. Also cleans a wound of particles of sand, dust and other impurities. Also heals wounds.
    It is used in preference to other ointments by members of the family and neighbours.
    Recipe:-
    3ozs Fresh Butter
    2 oza Resin
    2 glasses spirits of turpentine. Simmer over a clear turf coal for 6 hours.
