    Carnowen - Owen's cairn (already explained in '27

    DRUMSNATT = hill of snow
    - story told that monks of old wished to build a church, asked divine direction - soon after snow fell on this spot and not on surrounding country: Church here, very, very, old burial ground: now closed and new one opened: 4 or 5 feet higher than fields around. Sort of crude mortuary chapel at gate: Dumsnatt is on the leading road from Monaghan to Smithboro
