  1. There was a terrible accident about a fortnight ago, out the Monaghan road. beside the dog track. There were two men out for a walk, one named Mr Dolan, the other named Mr Black. There was a motor car coming behind the two men, and there was a lorry meeting the car. The name of the man in the car was John Gray. Mr John Gray dimmed his lights, and they went out all together. The lorry blinded the car with its lights. As soon as the lorry passed the car, the car went over Mr Dolan and knocked Mr Black through the hedge and he was seriously injured Mr Dolan was just six months pensioned from the railway.
    As soon as John Gray saw that he was on top of the men, he fainted behind the wheel. Mr John Gray took very badly with the shock.
