If the swallows are seen flying low, it is the sign of rain.
If the smoke is going straight up in the sky, it is the sign of good weather.
If the wind is blowing from the South, it is the sign of rain.
If the sun sets red, it is the sign of rain.
If the curlew is seen going to the North shouting, it is going to be wet.
In some houses, the floors all get damp when there is going to be rain.
If the clouds are going quickly, or going from the South, or if they are black, that is the sign of rain.
If a rainbow appears in the sky, it is the sign of showery weather.
When a mist comes over the moon, it is the sign of rain.
If a star shoots and falls it is the sign of a storm.
