  1. About ninety years ago there was a man named James Rhode, Ednamo, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan. He had one daughter who was always kept busy gathering rushes, and little bits of twigs. He was famous at making baskets.

  2. About ninety - two years ago there lived a man named James Mc Gahon of Mullinahinsa, In niskeen, Co. Monaghan. He was the man who first made a plough in this district. It was a wooden one, and the man who worked it was his brother, John Mc Gahan. It was a good plough, and lasted many years.
