    could make six "rush" candles in one day. The rushes were first skinned and greased with grease, that was obtained from the cow's skin.

  2. Owen Hardy, Drummond, Co. Louth, was a famous rope-maker. He could make one rope in a day. He used to bring them to Dundalk in a donkey and cart.
