  1. 1. When a person dies some one runs and sticks the handle of the shovel out through the thatch. The reason is to let out the soul.
    2. All the clocks in the house must be idle at the moment the person dies.
    3. No one under twelve years of age is allowed into the room where the person is lying.
    4. When a person is dies a table is taken out to the barn. The dead person is laid under the table. On the table is put a white cloth Then pipes and tobacco is put on the table for all the people that come to the wake.
    5. On the day of the funeral the coffin is laid on chairs in the yard, until the priest says the prayers. When the coffin is lifted the chairs are knocked.
    6. The coffin is carried on bearers to the chapell.
    7. As a rule the coffin is left in the chappel for one night.
