  1. When the people would be getting married long ago sometimes they would steal the bride at night and have a white horse and put the bride on the horses back and put a frieze coat around her and take her to some neighbours house and leave her there for a forthnight or so. Then they would get married. Sometimes the man would be shot or hung and in that case they would not be married at all. Then the bride would be left at home.
    If they would be married after the marriage the bride and groom would be put to bed for two hours. When they would get up the neighbours would be invited and they would dance the whole night till morning.
    They would take the bride to her fathers house and ask for her fortune. If he would not give her any they would not take her. Sometimes the fortune would be forty pounds or more. Other times they would build a house and
