  1. 1) In the olden days when a person would be getting married a custom was to fling an old boot after the car for luck
    2) Another custom was to fling rice on the bride and groom.

    4) A great old marriage custom is when the marriage party are coming of their honey-moon to have a bottle of whiskey in your pocket and come meeting the wedding party to see which of them will break the head of the bottle.
    5) An old custom is when people would be asked to the wedding, some would take eggs, some butter some bread, and some tea, and sugar, with them for the party.
    6) Another marriage custom is to give present to the bride.
    7) Another custom is to spit on the bride three times to prevent her disappearing.
