  1. I live in the townland of Cornanure. There are 12 different houses. There are 3 families 40 people 10 of the Courtneys. There is a man over eighty years of age and is blind, called Tarry Muckian. There are three men over seventy and one tells stories called Peter Courtney. Owen Woods who is nearly eighty in the next townland tells stories. There are a few old houses in my district. In my district there is only one fort. Cornanure means the round hill of yew trees Cor na nIubhar. There is a lake called Loch na Geirdeaman there. There are no wood here.
