  1. When we are lying down to sleep we say the following prayers.
There are four corners on my bed,
    There are four angels overspread,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
God bless the bed that I lie on.
If I die before I awake I pray to God my soul to take.
    Jesus Tender Shepherd hear me,
    Bless this little child to-night,
Through the darkness be thou near me,
Keep me safe till morning's light,
All the sinners that are forgiven,
All the friends I have loved so well
Take us all at last to Heaven,
Happy there for thee to dwell.
