  1. There were small shops known as huxters through the country, but the shops were not common. Buying and Selling was carried on after Mass but not for very long. Everything was sold after Mass on Sunday exept, flour, meal, bran, and such things like that, could not be sold after Mass. The markets were held in the town in former times. The markets are held in the town still. Dealers in feathers and rags are not common in the country nowadays. Labour was given for exchange for goods in former times.
