  1. On Saint Stephen's Day all the children dress in old clothes and start out to honour the wren, then they all go different roads looking for money.
When the come to a house they say,
"The wren, the king of all birds,
Saint Stephen's Day she was caught in the furze,
Up with the kettle and down with the pan,
A penny or twopence to bury the wren."
On Sait Patrick's Day we all wear shamrocks and badges in honour of Saint Patrick and the Castlecomer Brass band parades the streets.
On Hallowe'en we all play games and bring some money out of a bath of water and then all the old people gather around the fire and tell some nice stories.
