  1. The Baulagh (Bealach) road was made in the year of Public Works. It is the shortest road in Coone. It is leading from Coone to Castlecomer. The Coone line is a newly made road, and it is leading from the village of Coone to Castlecomer. The Cruttenclough road is leading from Coone to Cretty-yard. The Carlow road is leading from Coone to Carlow. The Uskerty road is leading from Uskerty wood to Castlecomer.
There are many old paths in my district such as the one from the grinding-stone in Coon West to the village of Coone. People say it is shorter than to go all around the road. There is also one from the Creamery to the Lots. It is about half a mile shorter than to go the road. They are very wet in the winter, but still people travel them going to Mass and to school in the summer. They are very old paths.
