  1. It is said that it is not lucky to start work on a Friday. Tuesday is a lucky day for setting eggs. It is said that you should always put a piece of iron under eggs if you want them to come out. A Good Friday's egg will never get rotten.
    "Friday wet, Sunday wet;
    Sunday fine, whole week fine."
    Saturday is supposed to be a very unlucky day to start ploughing or to start any kind of work. The "13th" is lucky for some unlucky for others.
    "Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth,
    Wednesday best day of all;
    Thursday for losses, Friday for crossees
    and Saturday no luck at all."
