There are four corners on my bed,
There are four Angels on them spread,
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
God bless the bed that I lie on,
If any bad spirit comes to me,
God come and save me,
I pray to God in Trinity, that no bad spirit betray me.
God be in my heart, God be in my mind
God be my Guide, day and night. Amen.
- In the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, I arise,
Bless me O Lord, defend and keep me,
That after this short and miserable pilgrimage
Bring me to everlasting life,
May the souls of the faithful departed
