    Larry Kane was a poor man employed by some big farmer over in Ballysalla.
    He compares his own poverty & contentment with the riches & discontent of his employer.

    The man that I'm working with is a richer man than me.
    But Im told that himself and his wife cannot agree
    With pianos in the parlour and paintings on the wall.
    Sure I'd rather have me cabin than this great big lordly hall.

    With a big stick fine & the floor swept clean.
    No one's so happy as me & Larry Kane
    With the young lads in the cradle I hear my dear wife say
    "Will you go to sleep alanna till I wet your fathers tay."
