  1. Luck na gnee. Loc na Groide. A Field owned by John Nolan. Situated near the Castlewarren river. There is a pond or small lake at one end of the field.
    Denny's Meadow. a field on James Brennan's land. Called after one Denny Brennan, now dead.
    Ros-a-hyill-ye. A hill on James Brennan's land. No evidence remains to show that it was once wooded; still I imagine the name to be "Ros-na-Coille."
    Kúnyeen Kate [Cúsnín Caol] a small narrow field on martin Maher's land mBornafea.
    Maw-ghe Bows. [Máire Bowe's] a small haggard on Phil Murphy's land in Ballinballey. At one time owned by a widow Máire Bowe. Notice the Kilkenny pronunciation of the slender R.
    Quinlan's Gate near the Grinding Stone. Pat Carroll B-gurteen says the old people used to say that a leg walked by this gate at night time. No name or story known
