  1. 7-4-38 Old Schools
    There wwas a hedge school in Mr George's field. It was in the open air they taught except it was raining, they would get under a trench. It was always Irish was spoken in them days and the teachers also spoke Irish. Simole reading and writing and Arithmetic was taught. The children used a slate for writing on.
