  1. 16-3-38 Severe Weather
    About eighty years ago there was a great flood in Gowran. It caused a lot of damage. A lot of lives were lost. Many out houses and barns were swept away with it.
    In nineteen hundred and two there was a great storm in Gowran. It knocked a lot of trees and old battered and badly thatched houses were knocked to pieces.
