    are invited. After a lavish meal consisting of geese fowl bacon in plenty, a dance is held, and continues far into the night.
    "Brideógs" or "strawboys" (uninvited guests) visit the house during the night. These are dressed up in fancy dress & wear masks to conceal their identity. On arrival at the house, they "take the floor" and generally choose as partners for the dance the prettiest girls in the house. They are afterwards given supper- and treated hospitably by their hosts.
