    and six brass candlesticks holding large candles which are kept lighting while the corpse is on the bed. A bowl of Holy Water and a Crucifix are also placed on the table.
    The corpse is left in the house one night and is 'waked' there.During the night the Rosary is often recited.
    (3) Women attend the wake during the day & evening. Men come & remain generally the whole night.
    During the night pipes (clay) & tobacco are distributed among the men & snuff also is given around.
    It is the usual thing on coming to the wake to sprinkle Holy Water on the corpse & to kneel & pray for the repose of the person's soul.
