    Michael Mas Day (29th. Sept.) - "Feast of St. Michael" - This is the day for the "Michaelmas Goose" - which is fattened & killed for this Feast by every one who rears geese
    St. Martin's Day (11th. Nov. - A goose is also killed & eaten in honour of this feast.
    The Blood of the goose Killed on St. Martin's Eve, is kept & blessed by a priest. This blood is preserved & kept for sick cattle. It is applied to sores, also - on a piece of "tow". Great importance is attached to this business of Killing the St. Martin's goose.
    Hallow Eve (31st. Octr.) - Still the practice is kept up of eating nuts & apples on this night. The old legend of the Púcis going about destroying all the fruits,
