Old Crafts-"Dyes" were made at home some years ago.
"Red-Dye"- was got by boiling down poppy leaves.
Nettles were boiled down and their juice made a green dye.
Penny-Leaf- a plant which grows wild in the ditches was also used as a dye. It was boiled down, like the nettles and the juice extracted to use as a dye.
These dyes were used to dye the home-spun cloth,
Weaving - There are no weavers- but in former time there were a few.
Spinning-Wheel-there used to be one in each house.
