    In the townland of Marley County Carlow there is a family named Cantlon. Their ancestors were brought to Ireland after the rising of 1798 by Brune and planted there in the farms of people who were evicted.
    Cantlons had a workman who had to work early and late. They even kept him fromm going to Mass sometimes. One Sunday he had to remain away from Mass. Mrs Cantlon began to make fun about his losing Mass. She said "if the devil came in here now which is it you or me he
