  1. The time of the Land Agitation there was a meeting to be held in Saint Mullins. There was a platform erected for Parnell. The meeting was to be held in the evening. At the appointed time three bailiffs were employed by the opposite crowd to set dynamite under the platform to blow up the speakers but the plot failed. The dynamite went off too soon and the platform was blown up before the meeting took place.
