  1. Gobbán Saor was a mason and also a carpenter. He was married and his wife's name was Ruadsech. She had plenty of riches, but she did not give him any of it, and she spent whatever he earned. Unless he worked and earned his wages she would not give him anything to eat, or let him into he house to sleep.
    One day he was out looking for work when a farmer offered him a job. It was to build a house in a field, but Gobbán would not build it, because it was on a fairy path, and he did not want to interfere with the fairies. He was aftewards rewarded
