  1. Once upon a time there was a giant standing on Brandon Hill and another giant standing on Blackstairs Mountain. They were arguing with one another and the giant on Brandon Hill took up a stone to throw it at the other giant. When he was in the act of throwing the stone it slipped out of his hand and landed on Andrew Murphy's ditch in Ballyogan. This stone is still to be seen and it has five sides on it. It is about one ton in weight.
