  1. Old Houses.
    Many years ago there was a house and a mill about one mile up the river Barrow. This mill and house was owned by Mr Patsull. The house was built by the side of a rock which is called Patsulls Rock. There was one of his sons a priest and he fell away from the Catholic church and became a Protestant minster. Shortly before his death he repented and he told the Protestants that there was only one true church the Catholic church. He died in the year 1766 at the age of 76 years and he was buried in Saint Michael's churchyard.
