  1. One day whilest St Patrick was on Slieve Mis he found a piece of gold. Not knowing what it was he asked a Gipsy what it was. The Gypsy coveted the gold and he said that it was only a piece of tin. Patrick did not trust the Gipsy so he went to a blacksmith. The blacksmith told him what it was so he blessed the blacksmith gave him the gold and departed. Ever since then gipies have had to live a hard life.
