  1. Festival Customs
    St. Stephen's Day. All the boys go around dressed up in all sorts of clothes "carrying the wren". They are called the "Wren boys". In some places grown -up men follow their example and combine a band. The money gathered is equally divided among those who take part.
    St Patrick's Day. St Patrick's Day is spent like every other city with the usual procession in honour of the Saint. That evening everyone attends a ceidhle or a concert held in the local halls.
