    a gate once stood still remains to be seen.
    The gates were usually called after the district or parish in which it was situated. The Gray Frerren or Gray friars gate, St Patricks or the "Arch", Walkin's Gate and St Jame's. Another was "Watergate" which divided Irishtown from Hightown or Englishtown.
