  1. The Village
    From the Arch to the boundary line of the Waterford road is called the Village, that is between three hundred and four hundred yards. There are five shops four public-houses and two Garages. They are they there as long as my grand-mother remembers Mrs Meade is her name.
    There is a company of men and boys who play at the Brass Band. This band is known as the James Stephen's Village Band.There is a band room at the top of the Village. The band is played at public meeting.
