  1. There is a local fair held in Kilkenny on every second Wednesday of the month. It is held in the Fair Green. They have to pay three pence to get into the fair. At it are large number of cattle horses and pigs.
    Up to five or six years ago a special fair was held 28th March this was done away with but has now been reviged. The two gratest fairs held during the year was in May and November. In Novem-ber the fair is good because the farmers get rid of all their horses.
