    How Michael Sold His Cow
    Part 1
    Michael was a farmer who lived with his wife and children in a cottage in this district some years ago. A bad year came. Day after day the rain poured down. His small crop of oats had been spoiled; the chickens died; and the pigs had ill. The fair day came and Michael went to sell his only cow. If he did not do so there would be no money to pay the rent, and thus he might lose his farm. On the way he met a little man who told him he would give him a bottle that would make him rich if he would give
