    Cure
    1. This cure is for corns. Steep an ivory button in lemon juice. It will melt to a paste which should be rubbed on the corn. This is a local corn cure.
    2. Go out in the morning and the first man you meet driving a white horse ask him what is the cure for the whooping-cough, and whatever he says (suppose it was a drink of water) give it to the person and it will cure it.
    3. If you sprain your foot and if it swells put it under a pump and pump water on it. This will ease the pain and the swelling
