  1. About one hundred yards from my house there is a deep pit in the Bog Raod. It is said that there is a box of gold hidden there. It was hidden in the year eleven hundred and sixty by the Lords of Bally Burr, who lived in the Castle before the present one was built.
    Pirates were robbing the castles of the country. Four years ago my grandfather, my Uncle, and Richard Marnell Oldtown, and Paul Bourke Bally Burr, dug for it.
