    There is a townland near where I live, but in Co. Tipperary - which is called Jessfield. It got its name from a landlord named Jessy, who resided there many years ago. A story is told that he had a tail, and had to cut a hole in his riding saddle to let it through.
    Since his death he is supposed to have been seen at certain times at night riding around his familiar haunts.

  2. Some years ago a very bad land lord named Lane lived near here in Shipton house, Kilmanagh. He evicted many if his tenants and gave their farms to his own gents.
    After his death, it was reported that he was seen many times and that terrible noises were heard around his house. People passing that way very early in the morning often wondered
