    feast is held at the brides house. A month after a marriage all the friends go to the Brides house and all make fun and merriment.

  2. Below Mr Meagars cottage in Newton there are two gates situated at each side of the road.
    This part of the road is vey unlucky. Every night at twelve o clock a woman with a shawl is seen walking through these gates. A man named Madigan got killed there while driving in his car. One night two men were passing these two gates. One of them saw a coffin laid down at the gate, and he asked the other man did he see the coffin. The other man could not see it at all.
