  1. The ruins of an old school is yet to be seen in the townland of Thinvaun. It is situated on the side of the road and belonged to Mr. Walsh. At first it was a disused farmhouse, and it was converted into a school.
    There was a teacher there once, named Mr. Ivory, who had only one hand.
