- Windgap Church is called St. Nicholas's Church. There is also a holy well called St. Nicholas's well in Dowlings field. The water flows along under the ground and is a tributary to the river "Glary".
- Many, many years ago there was a church in Kilamery called "St. Mary's Church". There was also four hundred monks there too at one time. The dead are still buried in the graveyard of Kilamery and the ruins of the church can be seen yet. Cromwell knocked this church when he was on his way from Clonmel to Kilkenny.
- About twenty or twenty five years ago Anthony Dwyer had a forge near Windgap. He lived with his wife and two sons and(continues on next page)
