  1. A fair is held in Callan the third Wednesday of the month on the Fair Green. Cattle, horses, sheep, pigs are sold there. Every fair day standings are there in which women and men sell clothes and boots and they sell a lot of both because they are sold cheaply. "A trick-o'-the-loop" is often there and he does a lot of tricks. Then he goes around the town and begs money.
Bargins are made between the buyer and the seller.
"Well! I'll give for so much" the buyer says.
"Ah! I could not" says the seller.
"I'll split the difference" says the seller.
"All right" says the buyer and the bargin is made.
THe man that gets the money spits on it to have luck between them.
