  1. The night Johnny Hickey was dead Thomas Phelan (R.I.P.) and Richard Phelan went to the wake. They remained there for a few hours after which they proceeded home. Tom Phelan was walking on the path and Richard Phelan said:-
    "Keep out of the path Tom, it is not good to be walking on a path in the night-time." So Tom passed over to the other side of the road.
    They walked on another mile or two and suddenly they heard a great rumbling inside the ditch and before long they saw a horse coming out from the ditch and fire
