  1. Some years ago there used to be "Poor Scholars", going from house to house teaching the farmers children. They used also write poems in praise of the people of the house. In every house they used to get two shillings or so and their supper and also a night's lodging. There was a rich man and he was very proud. All the money he had he built a new house with
