    fight long ago. There is a rath on our farm and if you went into the rath at night a sort of loneliness would come over you. In one of the adjoining fields it is said that any person that went through the field would go astray and they wouldn't be able to come out of it until daybreak.

  2. The name townland, and Parish of my district is Mullinavat, its barony is Knocktopher. It is in the District Electoral Division of Killahy. There are about fifty families and 188 persons residing in Mullinavat. The family name most common is Walshe on account of the Walsh Mountains. All the houses are slated except one. The old people say that they were all thatched before the time of the famine. The old people over seventy years who reside in the village are -
