    The 7th successive son in a family is said to have a cure for some ailment or other. There is one such son (David Dalton now in Co. Home Thomastown) who has a cure for toothaches.
    "7 years Easter water is a cure for all ills except death."
    For swoolen joints
    Mix Alder (leaves or any part of the stem) and the Buachallán (any part of it) in water and boil and then wash the affected part with the water.
    For any class of sudden pains
    Dip leaf or stem of Fothrom (an herb) in Easter water and rub on affected part.
